Food and Beverages

In the food and beverage industries, water filtration systems that can consistently provide excellent quality product water are in high demand. Whether the intake water is supplied from a municipal source, a well, or even surface water, a certain level of water quality is needed for each individual application. Lighthouse systems are more than capable of bringing any influent water stream to any desired purity using a combination of our state of the art filtration systems. If the influent water stream is from a ground water source, then any bacteria in the influent water would be removed by disinfection, typically with ultraviolet light, which would then flow to our Plate Clarifier with an attached flocculation tank to precipitate and remove any larger suspended solids in the stream. From the Plate Clarifier, the stream would then flow into one of our Volcano series filters for finer particle removal. Following that, the stream would then enter a Lighthouse recommended reverse osmosis system to remove any remaining dissolved solids and contaminants. If the influent water stream is from a well or municipal water source, then the process would begin with Lighthouse recommended carbon filter system to remove any unwanted tastes, colors, and organic compounds. This would then flow into Lighthouse recommended reverse osmosis system to remove any remaining dissolved solids and contaminants.
